Chapter 25

"Alright. Thank you so much."

They both get into Amber's truck while he gives her directions to his home. They both chat about the weather and soccer on the way. When they get home, he walks forward and brings out his keys to open the door. On opening the door, a cherry-sweet voice with a Latino accent can be heard from the kitchen along with the clanging sounds of spoons and knives.

"Manuel! Is that you? Did you get my text to buy some tamales from Ma Rico for dinner? I accidentally burnt dinner." A beautiful brunette lady steps out to reveal the face of the voice. Manuel stares with eyes that could melt an ogre's eyes.

"I did not see your text." 

"Who is this?" She asks

Amber decides to introduce herself.

"My name's Amber. Manuel found me at the store and agreed to help me find my brother. I promise I will be out of your hair in no time."
