Chapter 26
I sucked Conor off the following morning while Brigitte rode his face, so both of the wolves were happy. We went out for an early run to shake the cobwebs off. The wolves nostrils both flared when we got back, by which I assumed that Mom and Dad got lucky again. Mom had breakfast on the table when we finished our shower. I ate mostly pancakes with a couple slices of bacon. The wolves ate mostly bacon and sausages, with a couple pancakes.
“Quite the exciting time last night,” Dad said.
“The officer I was talking to said they believed it was some guy who’d raped a few women the last couple months,” Brigitte said. “He was from Chicago, and had a summer home on the lake and kind of looked for easy pickings.”
“Really, that guy? You were lucky you weren’t hurt,” Mom said.
“He’s lucky he didn’t get hurt,” I said. “I thought he should have gotten raped last night since that’s what he was probably going to do to us. Get him used to his life in prison.”
