I was ready when they arrived at my parents’ house. Gretchen was riding with us. I supposed it made a certain amount of sense. Gretchen became close to Quinn while she lived there. She still didn’t have her hand back, or some of her wrist, but she had most of her forearm now.
The Were prison was located in this dinky town named Carlisle, around 16 miles NW of Boston. No major roads went through Carlisle, which made it a sleepy little community a relatively small prison could disappear in, more so because it didn’t look like a prison. It looked like an office building with unusually tight security. Three floors, tiny windows, hardened cells. Stanley was waiting for us in the lobby, getting up to greet his Alphas.
