“Isn’t him biting me to save my life, after I’ve been sliced open, better than leaving me to bleed to death? He’d already made reasonable attempts at first aid that weren’t enough to save my life. The alternative to turning me, was me dying, leaving my child without any parent. Doesn’t that count for something?

“It’s not like he wanted me to turn, or he goes around biting humans all the time. It was an extreme situation requiring extreme measures. To top it off, he promptly turns himself in because he realizes he’s violated the treaty. He didn’t try to avoid punishment or fail to return to this country. He could have stayed in Canada where there is no treaty to violate, and in fact, this supposed crime occurred in Canada, not anywhere where the treaty applies. I think it’s ridiculous that he rots in here, when he could be out chasing Weres who are fucking criminals, like Vasilly or Darrell. That’s my opinion. I could be wrong.”
