Chapter 119. Don't Blame Yourself

COLTON’S POV

“Hey, do you think they’re going to be okay?” Ryder asks me as we make our way through the tunnels. There’s a path that leads directly towards the castle gates and hopefully, there won’t be a lot of guards guarding it so we can get it open with no problems.

We reach an opening and make it onto the castle grounds not too far away from the main gate. I can see guards stationed at random spots eyeing nothing in particular. They all look dead an empty, under Chloe’s abominable spell.  

“They’ll be fine. Damon and Morgana are both smart and strong. Nothing is going to happen to them.” I say to Ryder, our voices barely above a whisper to avoid drawing attention to ourselves.

“Are you saying that to convince me or yourself?” Ryder asks.

“What does it matter Ryder? They’ll be fine, I know it.”  I say getting irritated by his tone. I can’t even begin to thin or imagine that something might go wrong with Damon and Ana. I need them to come b
