I rushed into the hospital and went straight to Cassian's room when Noah bhai called me. I was out of breath when I opened the door. "Hey, Mumma," I started, but what I saw next was the moment I had been waiting for the past five days. Cassian was sitting up in bed, his eyes locked onto mine, and I couldn't look away. Amongst the crowd, he was the only one who truly mattered to me.
"I think we should give them some privacy. They can't talk about love while we're here," mumma suggested with a laugh, and everyone slowly left the room. I kept staring into Cassian's eyes as I approached him carefully, standing right in front of him. We didn't need words; our eyes expressed our love and longing. "Seraphina," he said my name, and it filled me with a deep sense of happiness, but I didn't want him to see that. "I'm not talking to you," I replied, turning away in anger.
