You’re Yourself a Billionaire

Soon-Ja is avoiding eye contact with Mrs. Seon. She knows exactly why because she doesn’t like her presence here, not one little bit. She can only imagine the things that a woman must be thinking; about the people in her life, she is nothing but a selfish woman. 

“Why are you so lost, sweetie?” Mrs. Seon asks.

“Sorry, I am not just feeling well,” Soon-Ja lies and hopes that will be enough to deter the mother. 

“Are you okay, Soon-Ja? Should we take a leave?” Jung-Won says with concern. 

“No, no, Mr. Geun, please take your time. Excuse me, I need to use the restroom.” Soon-Ja smiles as Jung-Won nods his head.

Soon-Ja lets out a shaky breath as she enters the lady’s bathroom. She leans over the sink and stares into her reflection before letting tears roll down her face.
