Chapter 14. He Is Your Responsibility Now
Teyana’s POV
I didn’t even realize I was moving until my legs carried me straight out of my dorm room. What did I say to Sean and why was I even so bothered? I didn’t know where I was going from here.
The corridor was buzzing with students moving around, some still dragging boxes and all while I tried to figure out the next thing to do.
I should call my mother. I pushed past a couple hauling a printer, then burst through the glass doors leading outside. The warm outdoor breeze hit my face, but it wasn’t enough to ease the tightness in my lungs.
I dug my phone out of my jeans pocket, and it vibrated at the same time. It was a number I didn’t recognize.
My brows pinched, but I swiped anyway.
“Hello?” I said, walking further away from the crowd.
Nothing.
“Hello? Who’s this?”
