Chapter 81. Lie

After spending some time with Olivia, I got a call from the office. They needed my signature to close a deal with one of the new clients.

It was something I had been looking forward to, so I had no choice but to leave. It couldn’t be delayed or else I would lose the deal.

I hated that I had to leave Olivia. It was the longest time we had been alone in a while. I enjoyed her company so much and we were finally in a good place.

I missed her and I was happy to be in her presence. I wasn’t happy that I had to leave. A part of me wished I could tell someone else to help me close the deal.

But I was the official signature and they wouldn’t agree if someone else offered to fill in for me.

I sent a text to my assistant, telling her that I was on my way. Then after a quick goodbye, I headed out of Olivia’s house and went to my car.
