Chapter 15. Andrew’s House
We were warmly welcomed by Uncle Jacky, but I didn't see Mrs. Keira. I refrained from asking, not because I didn't want to. It's just that her words were perfectly etched in my memory, and I wasn't ready to forget them yet. Even on our wedding day, her disapproving gaze lingered. If only I could voice all the reservations I have, surely, they would outweigh hers.
Nevertheless, I fortified my heart with steel determination for the sake of Grandpa's smile, which still accompanied me to this moment.
"Your mother has some business with her friend," Uncle Jacky informed. I just responded with a small smile. Since I officially took on the title of Andrew's wife, the way I address his parents has changed. I followed Andrew's lead in calling them Dad and Mom.
"Dad was really thrilled to hear the news from Andrew earlier. If possible, Krystal, you should stay here," he said.
I didn't know how to respond to that.
