Chapter 39. Andrew’s Suspicions
Don't ask me how I managed to calm down my trembling limbs after the near-miss incident. I don't know if I should call it luck or what. I ended up with only a small scratch on my arm. Andrew was careful enough to stick a bandage on it. My husband was in a state of extreme panic when he heard the commotion on the third floor.
A flash of everything that had happened in the past month played out in my mind without needing any cues from me. Everything, starting from the shards of glass that suddenly fell without any apparent reason. As for this issue, Mr. Darma hadn't given a definitive answer yet. Or maybe he had, but to Andrew? I don't know. Let's not forget about my car suddenly experiencing brake failure and an engine malfunction. Clearly, Mr. Dennish wouldn't want to drive the car if something was wrong. That meant my longtime chauffeur who had been accompanying me had no idea that something strange had happened to the black car still parked at the workshop.
