Extra Chapter (1)

Having two kids is fun. I believe that. Especially when you have a partner like Cedric, who's always ready and available whenever I need him. Though I can't deny, the fear before childbirth stressed me out big time. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to open my eyes and greet Zain and Cedric anymore. Also, my other family members: Krystal, Dona, Naomi, and my little brother Jacob.

Our relationship is getting better and, well... the past is truly behind us. Even if I wanted to bring it up, there's nothing I can do now except accept it. Sometimes, with Cedric by my side, I visit Mother's grave. The nagging questions in my heart about why she left me when I was a child have lessened.

"Mommy!"

I close my eyes briefly. The voice of Zennita, my youngest daughter, fills the kitchen. Her face is flushed with annoyance. Clearly, Zain is right behind her, chasing her with a superhero mask on.
