Chapter 115. Disappointment
I was sure one of my hands was broken from trying to stop Maureen from going outside the house. I was holding her wolf down with every strength in me.
While Katrina was crying and saying things about Diego, I felt a powerful anger in the mind link. A type I had never felt before. I knew it was Maureen, so I looked up in her direction, and before I could blink, her eyes changed color, and she was out of the door.
She took the steps three at a time but before she could get to the door, I reached her and pulled at her hand. It was as if she was waiting for my touch; she shifted immediately, and my hand touched her.
I could feel in the mind link that she intended to go out of the door and kill Diego. I held onto her wolf at first, but it was becoming increasingly difficult, so I shouted for help.
The first person that reached me was Asher. He looked confused at first but he joined me when he understood what was happening.
