Chapter 58. The Meeting
I was scared out of my mind but I had to keep it together for Maureen's sake.
I stood in the mall and took one thing or the order from the shelf, read whatever was on it, and dropped it. I wasn't even reading the labels. I was only stalling for time.
Two nights before I had marked Maureen and like Grandma Gina had said, she started having flashes of memories. Some she told me, some she didn't.
At a point that night, I wanted us to go and wake Grandma Gina but Maureen insisted that we waited till morning.
I could not sleep till daybreak. When I was sure Grandma Gina would be awake, I told Maureen to let's go to her room.
I had mind-linked Dominus that night. I told him everything that was happening. So when we were about to go to Grandma Gina's room, I mind-linked him to join us there.
Grandma Gina opened the door to us smiling as usual, not minding the fact that it was early in the morning.
