Chapter 59. Alpha Amman

Lance's POV

I watched from the glass window of the mall as the stranger stood up from the bench to walk away. Before I could blink, he had disappeared into thin air.

I quickly ran out of the mall towards the park. Lucia too had found her way to Maureen. 

'Are you sure you are okay?' Lucia was asking Maureen when I got to them.

'I am fine. I told you guys that I would be fine,' Maureen said rolling her eyes at Lucia.

'Do you blame us for distrusting a stranger?' I asked as I joined them on the bench. 

'I didn't see him walk out of this park. He practically disappeared mid step. I had never thought that was possible,' Lucia said looking from one edge of the park to the other.

Dominus and the soldiers stood some steps away. Dominus was addressing them. When he was through, he came to stand in front of us.

'What did he say to you?' I asked Maureen. 

'This is not the place or time to discuss that Lance. Let's get home first,'
