Leila’s POV

Samantha’s seductive smile quickly faded. “What do you mean by that?” she asked while swallowing her saliva out of nervousness.

Bradley’s glare can pierce anyone’s heart. “I say that your father has been removed as the Head of the Council of the Sapphire City,” he repeated, then looked at his surroundings. Those people watching earlier and letting Samantha hurt me were also sweating as they crouched in their seats.

“Are you joking? My father can’t be removed from his position! No one will dare to oppose our family,” Samantha recovered from her shock. She doesn’t believe what Bradley said, as her family is the wealthiest in Sapphire City, their wealth practically radiating off of them.

Samantha’s statement only intensified Bradley’s anger. “And when did the word alpha become a joke?” He looked around, waiting for someone to speak.
