Leila’s POV

“The last time I checked, I was still the Beta of the Paragon pack,” Morgan responded with a laugh.

I gazed intently at the man standing before me. Eunice’s father is the alpha of the Paragon pack by the way I understand it, so I expect that their beta is the same age as him.

“Your too young to be a Beta?” I couldn’t bear to ask while not removing the line on my forehead.

“Same with Bradley. My father is the previous Beta of our pack. Fortunately, he died a year ago, so I took over his position,” Morgan explained, while not taking away his eyes from me.

“I’m sure the pressure is great, especially the previous Beta of the Paragon pack was famous for being strong,” I commented while finishing my drinks.
