Leila’s POV

Why is he calling me? Is he keeping track of me now? I utter while thinking if I will answer my phone or not.

“Leila, why are you not answering?” Eunice asked, while slicing the steak onto her plate.

I turned to her with doubt. “It’s Bradley... I didn’t tell him about this dinner. I’m afraid if he discovers the truth, he will be enraged!” I whispered nervously.

Eunice sneered and put down her cutlery. “What’s wrong if you had dinner outside? He’s not your father, so why would he get mad?”

Eunice is right... I’m not doing anything wrong, so why would I get intimidated? And aside from that, the council invited me... So, his anger is not important! With this in mind, I put down my phone and continued my meal.
