Chapter 86. Tests

Eryn’s POV

I do the math in my head. Two tests per box, and I have fifteen boxes. That is thirty tests. I have only peed on about a third of them, and they are all saying the same thing. I lift my water bottle to my lips and gulp down more. They can’t all be wrong. Fuck, what if they are all right. Ripping open another test, I hover over the toilet and pee on it. Replacing the cap, I sit it next to the rest and wait.

I pull my bottom lip between my teeth and groan out loud. Before the three minutes are up, the second pink line appears on the test. “Fuck,” I grunt.

The door to the bathroom jiggles, and a wave of panic rushes through me. Atticus’s and I’s bathroom is trashed. There are pregnancy test boxes and wrappers all over the floor, and used pregnancy tests line the sink.

“I will be out in a minute,” I call out as I begin to shove everything in the shopping bag.

“Why is the door locked?” Cassie yells. “You never lock the door.”

“No,” I
