Chapter 94. Loyalty Problem

Eryn’s POV

Atticus left me on my own to shower. It was probably for the best. Without him there, I was able to stew about our situation. I desperately want to be angry at him, but I can’t find it in my heart to do so. The big oaf’s heart is bigger than his brain sometimes. I cannot fault him for taking in his niece and nephew. After all, he took me in when I needed the Warrior Pack the most, even if I didn’t realize it at the time. As I finish my shower, I feel a lot better about our situation, and decide to go in search of Atticus.

Stepping from our bedroom, I hear his voice carrying from the room beside me. I approach the room quietly and watch him from the doorway. Marcus is crying on his lap, and Natalie is wailing in his arms. He looks stressed, and a giggle escapes my lips. His eyes dart to mine, and he pleads with me silently to save him.

“Which one do you want me to take?” I laugh.

“This one stinks,” he wrinkles his nose, lifting Natalie.
