Atticus’s POV
The trip back to the pack house is silent. I barely had time to fill Eryn in on the situation before I threw my t-shirt over her naked body and carried her over my shoulder to the Jeep. I can’t leave her here or risk her running back alone. Theo was just in the pack house.
The tires kick up gravel as I pull into the driveway, and my Jeep skids to a stop. Eryn jerks forward in the seat and tries to get out. Reaching over her, I shut her door and press the lock. “Stay.”
She scoffs loudly and crosses her arms over her chest. “Excuse me? I am not a dog.”
“Just listen, Princess. Just this once. I don’t know what is waiting for us in there,” I snap at her.
“All the more reason I should go with you,” she whines. “I belong at your side. Unless you are hiding something from me.”
