Chapter 9
Lucia’s POV
After half an hour, we arrived. He parked in front of a restaurant. I could not tell much because I was still in the car. He walked out of the car, came to my side, and opened the door for me. Just like a real gentleman, he offered his hand for me, which I gladly took.
It was a lovely Italian restaurant, with a very good violinist and the atmosphere. We walked in, and we were welcomed by a waiter at the door.
“Good evening, Mr. and Mrs. Knight,” he said.
I wanted to correct him about my name, but unfortunately, Lucio outran me.
“Thank you…uhm. I can see that your nametag is ‘Mark,’ so thank you, Mark, for the warm welcome,” Lucio said.
I knew that what he just said was not necessary, but he did that to make sure I did not speak to the waiter.
“Welcome to Tesoro Restaurant. This way, please,” he said and led us upstairs.
Please tell me that this idiot of a fiancé did not reserve a room!
