Chapter 236. The Plan
Love’s POV
“What is the plan?” Jace asked, his voice tight through the phone, clipped by urgency and the distant echo of chaos behind him—howls, orders being barked, the unmistakable sound of steel meeting flesh.
I didn’t hesitate. The moment called for clarity, not fear.
“If they’re attacking near the east border,” I said firmly, already picturing the terrain in my mind, “then they’re dangerously close to the third packhouse. Get the elderly, the women, and the children into the bunkers immediately. Anyone who can fight secures the premises. And no matter what happens—no matter how many there are—the rogues cannot cross the border.”
Silence stretched on the other end for a fraction of a second. I could almost feel Jace recalibrating, shifting from panic to obedience, to trust.
