Chapter 57. Cheryl's Anger
The police just arrived when Dave was helpless. They shackled the man and took him into the patrol car. Eve, who couldn't stop crying, was led out of the small building by Sofia. On the other hand, Gery chose to stay on Arnold's motorcycle and follow behind the Foster family car.
The anger that had risen a few minutes ago had finally subsided, although the heartbeat was still pounding. At least Gery was relieved that Dave didn't touch or hurt Eve.
The iron horse continued to move gallantly even though the one riding it was drained. Gery ignored his heavy head and continued to ride towards Eve's house. He felt that all of this was his full responsibility. If it wasn't for him, there was no way Eve would be in a situation that would traumatize her.
Mrs. Kate opened the door, and upon seeing it was her daughter, she immediately embraced the frail body. The mother was kissing and hugging Eve while continuing to shed tears.
