Chapter 81. The Moments
Gery steered the car uphill, where the woman selling the souvenirs had pointed the way. The sun was shining on almost every part of the earth in the tourist area of Costa Roya, the tourist village where Eve's grandmother came from.
From afar, Gery saw that the area was quite deserted. He didn't see anyone there.
"It's so quiet, like there's no life," he thought as he parked the car in the parking lot.
He exited the car, his eyes searching for Eve's whereabouts. Far away, he saw a large building. The sound of laughter rang in his ears.
"I parked wrong. I'll try to find her there," he muttered inside the car. The uphill road still had yet to reach its end. Taking a slight turn, Gery finally arrived in front of a large building with a high roof.
The main building still had small buildings like gazebos. Some visitors were relaxing while enjoying food and drinks. Gery walked through one tiny building after another and hoped to find Eve there.
