Chapter 83. Fight

"Enough!" Eve shouted.

Eve made a small run towards Gery's bodyguards, who were still raging at Clark; when they saw Eve's arrival, they immediately averted their eyes and slammed Clark's body to the ground.

"Yes, Miss!" they said in unison.

"Who told you to commit violence in front of my grandmother's house?" Eve asked fiercely.

"Sorry Miss," said Robert, the leader of Gery's bodyguards.

"I asked, answer! Who authorized you to act in this manner?" Eve snapped.

"Sorry Miss, but we were ordered by Mr. Gery not to let this man near you. Also to keep him away from you, if he persists then we will have to take action. That's what we're doing Miss," Robert replied straightforwardly.

"Was he near me earlier?" asked Eve, walking up to Robert.

"No, Miss."

"Then? What are you doing all this for?!" asked Eve sharply.

"He kept insisting on coming into the house to see you, even though we warned him that you didn't want to be disturbed
