I scoffed at the statement, shifting on my pot as I gulped, *“Why me? I have no problems when it comes to that; you don’t have to worry about me—you don’t have to worry about either of us,”* I argued, making her raise a brow as she leaned back, face full of skepticism as her gaze flickered up and down my whole being.
I threw her a scolding look, *“What you’re thinking, it’s not happening,”*
Her chest rose, *“Really now? Because I couldn’t paint the expression on your face when these boxes came,”* she quizzed,
I groaned, rolling my eyes at her investigative rebuttal, *“Mom, I was just shocked, alright–”*
*“Is he handsome?”* she asked.
I laughed, *“What?”*
She grinned, *“Is he handsome? Is he some pretty boy?”* she asked again.
