Camilla’s POV

It had been two days since James told me the truth about everything. We hadn’t spoken since then. I didn’t know if I wanted to be angry at him. Like he said, he didn’t have a choice, they were going to kill him if he didn’t give them what they wanted.

There was some good news at least, Jason had woken up and was recovering in the hospital. Rory was asking about him, she didn’t know he had been in an accident and was in the hospital. I wasn’t planning on telling.

I’d been doing a lot of thinking these past few days. I’ve been thinking about Rory, myself, my grandfather, and also Raphael. I kept thinking about whether I wanted to raise my daughter here, especially after what happened with James. One of my closest friends here had betrayed my trust and compromised my daughter’s safety.
