Alice was stunned and frozen. She felt a cold breath hitting the base of her neck as the man whispered those words to her. For some reason, instead of getting afraid, she rather felt her heartbeat increase to a higher degree, so much so that even she couldn’t tell whether she was happy or afraid after hearing that.

Chris was a vampire.

He could suck blood.

Most importantly, he thought Alice’s blood was delicious.

As soon as reality dawned on her, she pushed the man away and narrowed her eyes at the canine. Then she did something none of them had imagined. Her hands raised and touched the sharpened canine on her left, leaving the man opposite to her shocked as he stared at her with widened eyes.
