Chapter 9
When I left the principal’s office, I didn’t see Daylon outside. I thought it wouldn’t be very comfortable to study with Daylon because we were not very close. Then again, maybe that annoyed me because I was stupid. I was a challenging learner. Just listening to our teacher now, I didn’t understand. Could Daylon still teach me? Could I study alone? It would be a shame to disturb Daylon. I might constantly watch him because he was the smartest in this school, but who would teach me if I didn’t teach Daylon?
As I walked, I heard a woman and a man talking inside the storage room. The door was open, so I could hear them clearly.
“Are you serious? You don’t have to do this to me,” the woman said, crying. I couldn’t see the man’s face or the woman’s, so I didn’t know who they were.
“I can do that,” the man replied. I frowned when I heard his voice. I knew the man, but I wasn’t sure if what I was thinking was correct.
