The sensation of waking up that morning in an incredibly beautiful room and an unbelievably soft bed left me momentarily disoriented. Never in my life had I slept in such a comfortable bed.

Slowly, the memories of the previous night began to return, like flashes of a crazy story I had lived. Liam's surprising marriage proposal still echoed in my mind. And the alarming news about the boarding house and Marcão, which had led me to accept the idea of going to Liam's apartment, also resurfaced.

All of this left me somewhat shocked, and it took me a few minutes to process everything that was happening. It was as if my life had been turned upside down in a single night, and I was just beginning to grasp the extent of the changes that were to come.
