 After a full day at home, Liam and I still hadn't managed to improve the tense atmosphere between us. I spent most of my time in my room, trying to keep myself busy and prepare for dinner at Liam's parents' house.  Marta had been an invaluable help. She accompanied me on shopping trips, guided me on appropriate clothing and accessories, and even taught me basic makeup tricks and elegant hairstyles. I felt grateful to have her around in this peculiar moment of my life.
