After the doctor's words, a heavy silence hung over us. Everyone remained in their places, as if afraid that any movement could trigger an imminent tragedy. In the end, there was no certainty, just a deep sense of apprehension in our hearts. Aware that Manuela couldn't receive visitors at that moment and that there was nothing concrete to hold on to, we stayed there, immersed in our thoughts, trying to process the gravity of the situation.

After reflecting, I decided to return to the apartment, take a shower, and have something to eat before going back to the hospital. The trip scheduled for that day was canceled, and I had no idea what to do from now on. But this wasn't the time to think about it, nor to make decisions.
