 Excitement pulsed through me, on the verge of bursting, as I resumed kissing Cecilia passionately. The moment's intensity was immense, but I was interrupted by a distant sound, akin to the rumble of a boat engine. The startle was immediate. I looked at the sea and spotted a boat in the distance.

 It was far enough not to pose a threat to our privacy, but caution settled in my mind. Although I was still dressed, Cecilia was without her undergarments, and uncertainty lingered in the air.
