Gifts

The sunlight falling in his face awakened him to the beautiful view of his wife next to him. He carefully removed the hair on her face and was glimpsing at his wife. He feels a nudge on his shoulder. “Are you done gawking at me, Mr. Singh? If you would move your limbs that are encircling me then I may go to the loo.” She ran to the washroom.

Viren scratches the back of his neck and chuckles to hide his embarrassment. Viren’s face had a tinge of red

“Oh! My hubby is blushing.” Priya looks at his face from the door frame.

“No, I’m not. Did you open my gift?” Viren changes the topic.

“Oh! shit. I had forgotten.” Priya slams her head with her hand.

They started opening the gifts. Priya’s parents gave them a beautiful gold pendant with the first letter of their name. Then Viren opened the box his father gave. It had keys. By looking at them he realized what they were.
