Passionate Night

She was panting and sweating profusely. A shriek left her mouth. She was shaking and shivering. ‘Priya’, someone was calling her, she opened her eyes and jerked from bed, shouting, ‘ Viren’.

Hearing her shouts Viren jerks her,

“Priya, I’m right here.” She was in her trance and was not listening to him, still trembling and sweating. Her cheek stings. She strokes her cheek and then realizes that it was her dream.

“Sweetheart, I’m sorry. You were not responding to anything.” Seeing her red cheek, Viren was feeling guilty for hitting her.

Priya cupped Viren’s face between her hands,” baby you are fine? They didn’t hurt you.” Priya started looking for a bullet wound.

“Priya, I’m fine. You had a bad dream.” He pulled Priya in his embrace. Keeping her head on his chest and listening to his heartbeat, she fell asleep.
