Chapter 42

Samuel rose from his seat. Followed by Edward, who also stood up and then stepped forward to approach Samuel. He reached out to invite his wife's assistant to shake hands. 

"I have a lot to thank you for, Sam. I hope things will turn out as soon as we hoped. I want to have a normal relationship with Chloe." 

Once again, Samuel nodded in agreement. After all, he believed Edward was the right person to accompany Chloe. "Then I'll excuse myself. I will report it to you immediately."

A few minutes after Samuel left Edward's study, Hans, sitting there listening, spoke again. "Ed, why don't you tell Samuel all about the whereabouts of Chloe's birth mother, who you have met." 

Edward shook his head. "Not now, Hans. We'd better focus on solving Nathalie's problem for the next few days. When everything's in order, I'll show Chloe about her mother I've met." Hans nodded in understanding. Edward may have carefully considered all the plans and possibiliti
