Chapter 124. The Pups
Johnston’s POV
I informed the doctor in the mind link that we would be at the hospital in an hour.
Marelva resisted a lot, but I was determined to bring her in for an examination. Not only for the unpleasant scent she carried with her but also for the identification of the pups. From her stories, I gathered that she hadn't checked in for two months, and that was irresponsible.
“Johnston, is that really necessary today? I wanted to help in the nursery of the pack. Can't we move it to another day?” she pleaded, her voice tinged with desperation.
She continued to argue, but I was not prepared to give up this appointment. My wolf wanted to mate her and soon, and he was pressing me to do the checkup. That scent kept us at a distance, and we needed to solve this the soonest.
“Whatever you say, we're going there now. Everything else can wait until we're done at the hospital,” I said adamantly, my tone leaving no room for negotiation.
