Jeteh continued to glare between Marelva and me.

“Glad it has your approval. If the lady likes it too, we can discuss the terms." We talked over the housing contract and reached an agreement in just fifteen minutes.

Marelva was able to move in immediately, and I promptly transferred three months' rent into Jeteh’s account. This period matched the time when she would give birth, and we could confirm the paternity of the children. If it turned out they weren't mine, I wasn’t planning on assuming any responsibility for them, particularly as my own child was about to arrive, whom I wanted to dedicate all my love and attention. Having Marelva in my life wasn't something I desired.
