"We want you here, not in Paxton. If the mate bond with Alex doesn't function as it should, it's best for you to stay put. Once things settle and war between the packs is avoided, Elyon must allow you to leave Moon Shine freely."

My parents wouldn't budge on their stance. I had asked them thirty minutes ago to lodge a formal complaint against Elyon with the Council so that I could obtain permission to depart without facing repercussions from any pack. However, they had a different perspective on the matter.

They preferred that I not leave amidst the looming threat of war but rather for the issue to be settled so I could move freely. Until then, their plan was to protect me in Moon Shine since they had no access or influence in Paxton. We were now heading to Elyon's office.

My parents had arranged a meeting with their Alpha, and as we reached the door, my father knocked. Once Elyon permitted us to enter, we stepped inside.
