Jonas's proposal lingers in my mind.

Perhaps this is my opportunity. I'll start by staying in Brooklyn for a while, and once Paxton has come to terms with my decision, I can move forward and live my life further with Zane. It's becoming increasingly difficult to endure things with Alex, constantly devising escape plans and dealing with the confinement and psychological torment is truly overwhelming.
