The following morning at breakfast, everyone seemed tense, except me. This was the first time I'd visited here since I arrived. My appetite hadn't been great over the past few months, but today I felt like I could devour an entire bear on my own. So, I dug in while Marelva, Xena, and Alex looked at their plates with discontent.
Elyon kept sneaking glances at me, which I chose to disregard entirely. Meanwhile, Johnston appeared lost in his own world, seemingly oblivious to everything around him.
