Chapter 47

Cara's POV

"Where have you been and why do you look pale? Are you alright?" Teo asked. I should have known it was Teo; I should have known their scents, but at the moment all I thought was that I had been caught, and that was enough to confuse all my senses.

"You scared the hell out of me; I thought it was him." I rushed to the door, just to double check if it was locked.

"It's locked" Teo answered. He stared at me for a long while before he spoke up. "I know it would be funny asking this question, but are you alright?"

I inhaled. I had never realized the fear I had for him; I knew what fueled it—the girl who had died. "I am not alright, but who cares about me? I am on a mission."

"I do."  We were both silent for a while. "I care about you."

"You know here... things won't be great for me, but... he is so damn evil... I can't forget her voice; I have nightmares about it; she begged him.. I can't.. I can't forget all her scream
