Cara's POV

I stared at Teo with pleading eyes.

"I have to go, Teo, please; the pack needs me."

"It's not the pack, Cara; I can see it in your eyes; it's Rollins, the same person that had been on your mind for the past week; he would never let you return to me, you know that right?."

"I can't be with you, Teo; he is my mate."

"But I love you; I could make you happy."

"Please Teo, try to understand; I have to go."

"No, you don't have to; you want to go."

Finally, I turned to him fully. "And what if I want to go to Teo?" I didn't want to hurt him, but if that meant I would be able to leave, then I had to. If that meant he would forget about me and move on, then I had to hurt him, even if it would hurt me more.

"You don't mean that, Cara. Give me a chance, just a single chance to show you that I can make you happy and that we were meant for each other. Please, Cara, just one chance, it's all I ask."
