Chapter 37. Regrets
Amanda closed her eyes, She don't want it, everything but not that. If Jeanne tells everything that happened 16 years ago to her young sister, she is sure that her second daughter will hate her as much as the first does now. She can't afford it, She would prefer to die, she needs their forgiveness, not their hate.
Even though she had abandoned them, she never stopped thinking about them even for a second. Since she leaved them, they always remained in her mind. She knew she had been cruel, but she was afraid to face life after her husband's death and to take care of two children without a job.
