The weather in Toronto was quite warm, so my yellow knee-length dress fitted perfectly with the weather.

We both were standing in front of a beige color mansion. It was a fudging palace.

I was gawking from outside, but I could feel Vexon looking at me in amusement as he was standing next to me. I couldn’t believe this was where I would be living here on. Well, until I executed my runaway plan.

“Boss!” Mane came and hugged Vexon. “Finally you’re back!”

After hugging each other, Mane looked at me and greeted, “Hello, boss lady!”

“Hi,” I replied with a smile.

“How is the situation now?” Vexon asked Mane, who gave a fake laugh.

“Worse,” as soon as Mane replied that the two of them exchanged looks. Only they knew what they were talking about because I was left clueless.

Vexon nodded after a while and the gate of the mansion opened. All the guards started greeting us, so I smiled at them politely.

We were walking for around
