Chapter 7. Bastard

"He–he caned you?!"

Tina's eyes widened in shock as Reina's face contorted with rage.

"Ma'am please, it was a long—"

The bowl slipped from Reina's trembling hands, crashing upon the floor and shattering the tense silence. Tina's body froze in place, her heart pounding in her chest.

"Can I– can I see the marks?"

"Ma'am, it's really not–"

"Please Tina," Reina pleaded with a shaky voice.

Tina hesitated for a moment before slowly lifting her shirt to reveal the horrifying burn mark on her back. The scar was jagged and disfigured, a testament to the cruelty she had endured.

Reina's hands shook even more as she reached out, her fingertips hovering just above the scar. The fury within her intensified, threatening to boil over.
