You could hear a key being inserted into the lock. She was one of the few people with a key, so this could be the woman they wanted.

I walked towards the door so I could greet her. Although she had to open it, I was still supposed to greet her properly.

Things got weird because the latch wasn't pushed down. The door had been unlocked, but no one entered the room.

Aurore said, "Something's wrong. Tell Tyrone, otherwise he'll kill us."

"We'll check first, then we can let him know. But we won't overreact."

I took the last step forward, so I was right in front of the door. Maybe it was stupid to leave the room, but curiosity won out.

Who unlocked the door but didn't come to see me?

This behavior made absolutely no sense, especially with Tyrone's orders to lock me up. Something must have happened that made me want to investigate. Maybe someone could use some help.
