Chapter 122

Valeria's POV

He started to say something about where the wine came from and what made it special. But I didn't notice him. I had so many questions flying around in my head. After I finished my second glass, I wanted to reach for the bottle again. But just before I could grab it, someone took it away from me.

"Hey!" I complained, looking up to see who was taking the bottle from me.

I saw Alec standing in front of me, holding the bottle in his hand and staring at me in surprise. I quickly looked away and looked at the table.

"Did you listen to what I said?" He asked me now.

I blushed. Of course, I hadn't listened. I didn't understand a single word because I had blocked everything out. I was far too busy with my thoughts to listen to him.

After pouring her and myself a glass of wine, I went back to my chair and sat down. I didn't know what to say, so I started talking about the wine.
