Chapter 127

Valeria's POV

Jaden cleared his throat and caught himself. When he looked at me he just said, "Breakfast is ready." Then he turned around and went back down the stairs.

I tried to scream "Thank you" through my toothpaste-filled mouth, but I only half succeeded. I slammed the door and ran towards the bathroom to empty my mouth. Inwardly, my anger rose again that I would probably meet the puke from Alpha downstairs and would most likely have to justify myself for yesterday.

In protest, I took extra time to get dressed. After 15 minutes I decided, willy-nilly, to go downstairs. So I slowly opened the door and peered outside, hoping to hear voices. But nothing. The whole house was silent. I slowly closed the door and crept down the stairs. Still nothing.

When I got downstairs I looked into an empty hallway. Still nothing. Funny, but I don't want it to bother me. So I went towards the kitchen and who was sitting across from me...
